Birth Doula
Services I Provide

Free Consultation
I like to have a first meeting to see if we are a good match. This is a cost free visit and it’s an opportunity for both of us to get to know each other and for us to feel more confident about our choices.
2 Prenatal Visits
After making your decision, we will have two prenatal appointments in which we will discuss your needs and concerns, as well as create a personalized birth plan.
Informational Support
I also like to give special attention to educational support during pregnancy and practice comfort measures in labor to help you best prepare for birth.
Infinite Phone & Email Support
You will have unlimited phone and email support during pregnancy and postpartum.
During Labor
During labor I advocate for you, facilitate the communication with the medical staff, provide constant emotional and physical support, so your birth can be enjoyed and always remembered as a loving and transforming experience.
Baby’s first Feeding Support
As soon as your baby is born, I will assist you in the immediate postpartum and help you with initial breastfeeding.
Postpartum Visit
To ensure you are adapting well to the new life I will visit you in postpartum and help address any needs you and your family might have.
Community Referrals
If you need more specific care I will give you referrals for local resources in the community.
My fees for Birth Doula services are $2100

Where I Work

The geographic areas where I usually work are the Counties of Contra Costa, Alameda, Marin and San Francisco.
If you live somewhere else or are planning your birth outside of this area, please contact me to check availability. Some arrangements can be made to assist you in other near locations.
As a Doula, I Do Not

Perform clinical tasks
No such things as blood pressure readings, fetal heart checks, vaginal exams, and other medical tasks will be done by me. I am there to provide only information, physical comfort, emotional support, and advocacy.
Speak on your behalf
I will discuss your concerns with you, suggest options and facilitate the communication with the staff, but only you (or in some cases your partner) will speak on your behalf to the clinical staff.
Make decisions for you
I will help you get the information necessary to make an informed decision and I will also remind you if there is a departure from the birth plan you had prior to labor. But this is your birth experience, so you are in charge of making your choices.
